India’s Strong Messaging to China: Relations Can ‘No Longer be Business-as-usual’

India, for the first time, strongly conveyed to China that the border build-up had a “larger context” and that PLA’s behaviour “this year” was a shift from the past. China is also not mincing words. The study examines how an Indian policy response would redefine Asia’s geopolitics; the possibility of India strengthening its partnerships with the US, Japan, France, South Korea and, perhaps, Indonesia; possibility of India expanding relations with Taiwan etc. And importantly, highlights the constraints in fine-tuning China policy.
